I had the 7.99 deal, havent used for a few months when broke phone - got new one, would like to downgrade to free SIM deal - When I do this from my account online or from my phone it says 'unsuccessful'. Hi all,
Some weeks ago I bought two more FreedomPop phones and I wanted them to be 100% free. I have had a number of older FreedomPop phones for a few years and love them- Thanks FreedomPop. I tried to do a downgrade of plans online, but when I click on the last "downgrade" button, A message appears says, " Error: Sorry, we are unable to process your purchase at this time." When will this error be fixed?
Please can you send me a PM to expedite this request.

    Thank you,
    SelmaTeacher7

I understand they now require a $5 credit on the account in order to downgrade. If it is not asking for that as you go through the downgrade steps (and you don't already have a $5 credit in your account), I wonder if first adding a $5 credit,
    here: https://www.freedompop.com/billing_overview.htm
    or here: https://my.freedompop.com/billing
    might fix the problem?

Turning off auto top ups also requires a $5 credit, so if you had planned to do that it would ask for a $5 credit to do that, anyway and the downgrade would not have any extra cost. Of course, if you have already taken that step, there would be $5 in your account and the downgrade should work.
