How do I replace my dying S2 with a new Galaxy S2 that I obtained?

My original (FreedomPop-provided) Galaxy S2 is slowly dying -- issue with the charging port. I've just obtained a "new" (well, used) identical Galaxy S2 that's on the Sprint network. How can I activate the new Galaxy S2, and then presumably deactivate the old one?
I've already checked the EMID # (or whatever that thing is called), and it's neither blacklisted nor has an outstanding balance with Sprint, so I think I'm fine as far as that goes.
