Phone number not correct

I recently used a BYOD Galaxy S4, entered the MEID, etc etc, got signed up successfully...I have an account page, and can see some of the data that we have used, so I know it's got the correct phone, but the phone number on the phone itself is not at all what the account page says it should be. As a result I can't make any calls or texts.
I feel like I've missed a step or did something wrong. Can someone help?

    @DrElementary The number shown under the phone's own Settings->About phone menu is a special non-geographic area code number that Freedompop's VOIP service uses to connect to the Sprint cellular network, but the number shown on your account web page is the one that your calls/texts will use.

    Since this is a BYOD phone, have you installed the Freedompop Messaging app?

    This is the app that you'll use to initiate calls/texts - if you're signed into it (using your Freedompop account credentials), then it will show the phone number associated with your account.

    (My phones are all FP supplied, rather than BYOD, so I'm making some assumptions, but this is how I understand the BYOD setup is...)
