can I replace my activated phone with a newer and better phone?

A few weeks ago I activated a Sprint Echo M9300 using email address: [email protected] I found the phone to be very dated and slow, so I went ahead and bought another newer and better phone. Can I activate the newer phone under the same account and deactivate the older one? I mean, I want to replace the older phone with this new one under my freedompop account. Is that possible? Because I want to keep my FP number.

If so, do I need to pay the activation fee again?
