Linux File Management with Icon

Called customer support and asked if I needed a Windows PC to transfer files to/from my Hydro Icon. They said they thought so and did not know of any way to do so with linux. Well turns out there is at least one way that works. simple-mtpfs {https://github.com/phatina/simple-mtpfs} allows the transfer of files once the phone device is mounted. I know this works as I now have several custom mp3 ringtones in the Downloads directory working.

You might also want to consider the airdroid app - this should allow file transfers to/from any device with a web browser, regardless of OS.

I should say I am using CentOS7 and Fedora22 with simple-mtpfs and my ICON.

I just use dropbox. Works across all my machines, and no wires.
