Screen will not go blank when on a call

Hotspot NorthrupHotspot Northrup Posts: 7FreedomPop Newbie
When using the native phone dialer/app (and the hangouts dialer) the phone is supposed to use the proximity sensor to blank the screen when your face is near (on a call). But I've found that when using the FP dialer this doesn't happen, instead it goes all white which results in 1) shortened battery life and 2) my face inevitably touches its way into the time/clock settings page and makes changes.

Is there any way to fix this?

It happens to me aswell. Although it's a minor inconvenience to hit the power button to turn off the screen it forces you to turn the screen back on before you can disconnect your call. Just Keep doing it over and over then you can see how much fun it actually is. Thanks just adding a little I didn't see a way of really fixing it. Probably would need a update of some kind by fp.

Got the same problem, and am surprised that more FP users are not complaining about it, since it's quite annoying when you open/ activate whole bunch of stuff with your ear. Maybe then FP would do something to address the issue. Plus I hate the FP dialer, the native android one was much better.
