Downgrade to Free Plan

I tried downgrading from the $10.99 plan to the free plan by clicking the "downgrade" button on "My Account>My Voice Plan>Unlimited Talk and Text" page. However, my billing settings still show I am on the $10.99 plan.

Do I have to wait until the next billing cycle for my account to reflect the change? Or do I need to do something else to downgrade?
