Unable to use my data/no data connection

I have a Kyocera Hydro Icon, and I still have about 640MB left. However, I am unable to use my data and have to rely on WiFi to use any sort of connection. I did a soft reset, but that didn't seem to work, and my phone mentions that PRL, etc., cannot be updated at this time.

    Can you please give the following steps a try:

    To refresh your activation data please follow the following steps:

    Open the "Messaging" app
    Press the "Menu" in upper left corner
    Scroll down and press "Sync Account Data"

    This should correct your issue.

    I have the same exact issue. I've done the "sync account data" steps on my own before I found this page, but it just keeps searching for a connection. The phone shows some bars as well as the 3G loading icon on top right, but on the top left it says to sign in to connect. Obviously that page won't load in my browser because I am not connected. I emailed FreedomPop 4 DAYS AGO, in which it states that they will contact me within 48-72 hours, but I haven't heard from them. What can I do to solve this issue? I am lucky as I have a portable WiFi connector - but when that battery dies I DO NOT HAVE A WORKING PHONE. Please help.
