New FP # Freedompop Messaging Will Not Connect

I moved my Freedompop # from an old FP phome to a new one and have requested a new number for the old phone. The new # shows up on my account for old phone but the Freedompop messaging app will not sign in. Since getting the new # I have: Restarted the phone, Updated the PRL, Updated the profile, restarted the phone multiple times. Internet works fine. Still the Freedompop app looks like it is trying to connect but never does. It stalls at "registering for push notifications".

Is there something else that needs to be done?
