I am wanting to use FreedomPop as a home internet backup. Can anyone suggest a good adapter? It should be able to hook into a home router

@Bill Kater - There are currently 2 routes to achieve this:
    • If your router supports it, you may be able to connect a FP hotspot by USB & use it as a fail over device - however, this is very dependent on whether your router supports failover & whether it supports the USB hotspot that you select. I am currently using a FP Sierra 803s hotspot in this way, connected to an Asus N66U router.
    • The alternative route is to use the FP Netgear 6100D broadband gateway. These are designed to essentially replace your current router, including an Ethernet WAN port to connect to your existing cable/DSL modem, along with a cellular radio to connect to FP's wireless data service. They also provide 4 Ethernet LAN ports for wired networking & 2.4/5Ghz WiFi for wireless networking. The 6100D can be configured to fail over to the FP service upon failure of the connection on the WAN port.
The latter choice is probably going to be the easiest to setup & get working, whilst the former option will be harder/more hardware dependent, but may allow you to continue using your current router & have a portable hotspot that you could take with you, when not using for fail over cover for your home network.
