Have you created a new account for the new device and successfully activated it? You didn't specify what new phone you have--whether it was purchased through FP, an FP phone purchased elsewhere, 0r a Sprint phone. If it's not the first type, you will have to activate it as a BYOD.

Once you successfully activate it, you can create a new discussion in the Device Swap area of the forum and request admin help with swapping your old phone with the new one (on your old account). Also, if you tell the admin to cancel your new account instead of transferring the old phone into the new account, this will release your phone. I know this works since I had my phones recently swapped and checked my old phone's MEID at a MEID checker like RingPlus.

Follow the instructions for the case that applies to you, except for the calling of FP support for device swapping. I haven't had any luck with reaching customer service for device swapping. But, I got an almost immediate response when posting in the correct area of the forum. Also, refunds for BYOD activations only applies to FP devices.

Follow instructions here after successfully activating your new phone
