Got mine today, but it only connects up to 5 devices. Is this because of what choice of plan I have?

Never did get mine working and am being charged $13.98 each month including something I don't remember even signing up for. Can't figure out how to cancel it and after being on hold for 40 minutes, gave up. Thought this would be so so simple and it has been so so frustrating instead.

No, the device can connect to 8 devices, it does not mean that it will connect to 8 devices. Network by default can be very weak and sometime one is working harder then other wifi connection, which use too much bandwidth. This in turn cause it to only handle in your case 5. The wording is design for sale purposes.

I receive my device in the mail a week ago and it doesn't work. I am frustrated with the service.
