No incoming calls on Hangouts app.

I just got a Galaxy S5, it has the latest stock ROM of Android 6, and I'm having trouble with both HangOuts and FP Messaging. I can place calls with Hangouts, but it doesn't get incoming calls. I checked under account, and Incoming Calls and Incoming messages are both turned on. If I log onto Google Voice, and if I check the box to forward calls to the verified number then the native dialer gets the calls, but this isn't what I want since that will be burning both data, and freedompop minutes. Plus, since the call isn't coming in on Hangouts, I don't see the record of the call. Any ideas about what's going on there? I have an S4 set up the same way, and it works find. I don't have to check the forward to button on Google Voice, and it still gets the calls in on the Hangouts client. Any help possible would be greatly appreciated!

I uninstalled and reinstalled Hangouts and Hangouts dialer, and now I'm good. Don't know what happened there.

This is a common problem that is actually easy to solve. The problem is in the settings in the Hangouts app. Open the app, tap the three bars on the upper left next to the word Hangouts. Now tap settings, should be second from the bottom. Look for the green word Account, just below that it should show your Google account and email address, tap that. Go down to where it says in green print Google Voice: (xxx) xxx-xxxx, directly below you will see Incoming phone calls, note the switch button on the right and give it a tap. You will now receive Google Voice calls in Hangouts. That's it, you are set and ready to go.
