Need account reset..?

I have a phone which I haven't used in over a year. The account is still active, and I can still browse the web with it, in fact I am using it now. Data used is charged to the account as expected.

However, when I enter my email address (the correct one for the account), the Messaging app tells me that the account is not found.

I assume this means something needs to be reset. I have updated the PRL and all the normal steps from this end.
