    @Daniel Harman
    Here is a Post I wrote on the FreedomPop Forum that has Great Step-by-Step instructions on downgrading your account to the Basic Free Plan, or 100% Free. This has how to downgrade regular Plans, and how to downgrade the VAS Service Plans (Value Added Service, that get missed on occasion). It also has how to turn Auto top up off-

    The Free Plan is the default plan when downgrading your account. There is no other way to pick this plan. Once downgraded, you will be on the Free Plan by default. This also has how to verify, and how to add Freedom Friends for an Extra 500mbs Free each month.

    Thanks

    I am on a initial try program with 1GB data for the first month. I read somewhere that if I down grade to the free plan but used more than 200MB of data (less than 1GB) before the initial period is over, I will be charged for the amount data beyond 200MB because the new free plan has only allowed to use 200GB. Is this true? Please let me know.

    Yea I seen that Rumor floating and frankly, allot of what that post says over on SD is missing allot of detail. Seems like he has no clue how to do math. Or only describing his experience. The area that was written, is a free for all sometimes. Some of the info is 100% correct, but not all of it.

    Example: You start off with a 1GB plan, or 1000 mbs data. When you downgrade, you only have 300 mbs left. On the sim, you would only have 200 mbs.

    Example 2: Say you downgrade from 1000 mbs, and you have 150mbs left. You only going to have 150 mbs left on the Free Plan.

    I always tell users, to be safe, don't downgrade in the middle of your month, after you have already used up all your Data. Either downgrade as soon as you receive, or 2/3 days before your account/trial is over. This is how I've been doing it for almost 3 years with no problems.

    Not saying the system in perfect. On occasion, the system may glitch, I have seen it happen. If this happens to you. Simply create a ticket or a Post here and I am sure FreedomPop will set the account straight.

    Hope all is well and Happy Holidays!
