I was trying to activate a phone I purchased through the BYOD site, but I get the following error...

We're experiencing an issue with your provided device ID.
To complete your activation, please call 800-671-5017.

Can I get assistance to see if my phone can be activated?

    are you using a freedom pop sim? if so, it may not work with your phone..i was told i had to have a SPRINT sim with my motorola g4 plus..

    I have a unlocked Moto G4 Play. That means of course you are not tied to a particular carrier. If you purchased your Moto G4 plus from Sprint it may or may not be unlocked. If unlocked I think you can go with any of the Sims, cdma or GSM.
