250U not recognized by Sprint

I have a 250U (Freedompop branded) that I have been unable to use due to lack of coverage. I now have service, but when I try to connect to 3G, Sprint says the device needs to be activated. I tried to activate via the Fredompop website, and it tells me the device is already activated. Help! Thanks much in advance.
