Can't downgrade Premium 500

Trying to downgrade Premium 500 to the free service and keep getting an error -

"We've experienced a problem changing your Data Plan due to a billing error. Please update your payment method on the Billing Settings page, and try again."


Very annoying - first of all, its a voice plan, not data, second, there isn't anything wrong with the billing, they've been charging the card for years with no issues.

Please advise.
