My data reset and i cant get on the internet with my gateway and somehow it managed to use 54MB of data

    @Garrett Tiller - if you have a Netgear 6100D, I have noticed that mine sometimes needs a power cycle after the monthly data allocation resets, in order to connect to the internet. Have you looked at it's admin pages to see what status it's reporting?

    The 6100D also tends to pull small amounts of data every 30 minutes, even when a working internet connect hasn't been successfully achieved, but 54MB (depending on over what time period it accrued) sounds more like it's trying to pull a firmware update or something.

    I wouldn't bother trying to update the firmware - you're adding another variable to the mix in doing so. Do the admin pages indicate whether it is connecting or not?
