@Taylor Network Connection Issues - Galaxy S4

Hi I've had a Galaxy S4 activated on FreedomPop for about a month now and it's been working fine, but I've always had an issue where when I have my SIM card inserted I receive no network/data connection and cannot text or call. Where as when I remove it I can receive a 3G data connection. I understand that Sprint and FreedomPop use the SIM in order to access 4G LTE so it makes sense as to how I can still receive the 3G, but I was wondering what I had to do in order to get the SIM card connecting to 4G LTE. Do I need to do a MSL reset? In that case how would I get my MSL code?
If there's something else wrong I can always post up my MEID/ESN.
It's a Sprint Galaxy S4 (already working on FreedomPop) and a Sprint SIM card so no mix-ups there.
