Unable to upgrade to LTE Sim

Hello I am trying to activate a SIM card and transfer from a Global Sim card to LTE and it says successfull but I do not get any LTE on my phone. I have a note 8 unlocked. it worked with a tmobile LTE and AT&T LTE sim card so there is no reason why this freedompop card wouldn't work.
It looks like there is something wrong with the system because if I go back 10 minutes later or really any time after transferring the service from Global to LTE, it lets me do it again and still shows me the "Switch to our lightning fast" banner at the top.
