My new S3 is working well, except for VPN privacy.

Neither FreedomPop's own VPN solution, nor privateinternetaccess.com's VPN service, will work on my new S3. The FP service rep wanted to call it a defective device and RMA was my only option.

The thing is, it works flawlessly at this moment. Calls are seamlessly transferred between cell sites and available wifi. Battery drain is nominal and as expected. The unit gets a strong signal. I am not ready to part with it over lack of VPN support.

I wonder what is the real problem with this VPN issue, and how to fix it?

It really is because web based VPNs are sucky, and FP's VPN is in beta so there are going to be a few issues. You can try something like Onavo's VPN which works flawlessly.

Onavo will not work on Samsung Galaxy S 3 because I tried it many times.
