Internet Connection Offline

I followed all the setup steps but when trying to call or text when not in wifi I get the error message that there's no internet connection

    I am having the same issue! I bought a Freedompop phone and SIM for my daughter for Christmas last year. The phone broke, then we forgot about the service. I got an email saying that the SIM cards were being discontinued and I needed to order an LTE one. I figured I could use it in my sons iPhone 5c to give him service. I ordered the card and put it in his phone, got the 2 freedompop apps, but now I find it only works on wifi. I tried the APN settings, still shows att in the top corner and will not work on cellular at all. I also get a message when trying to activate the card that "This is a porting only SIM and must be activated through an account. Please login to your preferred account and follow instructions here to activate." I am not trying to port!
