Going Over in the Basic Plan

iptohipiptohip Posts: 2FreedomPop Newbie
Hello!

I was wondering what would happen if I were to hit the 200 MB data limit on the Basic (free) Plan. Would I be forced to pay for a top-up or would the data automatically stop working?

@iptohip - In order to be on the FREE plan they require a $20 deposit to be applied to your account in case of overages. If you made the deposit more than 30 days ago then you need to 're-activate' the credits again for another 30 days.
Log in online here: https://my.freedompop.com with your email address (or phone number) and password. Click on the Billing TAB. In history select "Top-Up Credit". Then scroll to bottom. After 30 days have passed since last activity with credits usage or activation, a link appears to "re-activate" the credits. Once activated, then when you bump past the 200 MB in usage you will use 2.5c per MB. Not something to do heavily as that can run up expense very quickly. Just a few MB excess for the month is easily tolerated and would take way more than a year to nibble thru the $20 of deposit you have.

When that balance falls below $2 and you run over the 200MB then another top up is activated at $20 added to your under $2 balance you have.
