Can I use a iPhone 5s or Moto x, for example, or any unlocked phone in freedomepop? And if so what is the app used in order to get free data. I have seen the talk and text on both the google play store and the apple App Store, but I can't find the free data one?

Many unlocked phones only support the GSM-based technology used by AT&T and T-Mobile in the US. FreedomPop uses the Sprint network, so ONLY a Sprint-compatible phone can be used. Not all phones are allowed to be activated, there is a list here: https://forums.freedompop.com/discussion/145/supported-phones-what-phones-can-i-activate-with-freedompop-on-byod/p1 and you can check individual phones here: http://www.freedompop.com/byod

Voice and data are included in the phone plans. You don't need an app. While you may also use free Internet services for voice or messaging over a data connection, an app will not give you "free data".

I am interested in buying a Moto X directly from Motorola website for use with Freedom pop. However, I found out there are 4 versions of this phone: Pure Edition, XT1097, XT1096, and XT1093.

Can you please let me know which version will work with Freedompop?

    Thank you.
