How to prevent being charged again for Visual Voicemail (VV)?

I signed up on 1/2 and thought that I did not select to pay for the voicemail, but on 1/3 was charged $2.49, possibly just because I later opened the app and selected to view any voicemails. On the website, under My Account, under Services, it says "You have not signed up for any services yet. ", yet I can see and listen to a couple voicemails I have received since signing up 11 days ago.

So, just now I just made some changes:
-in google play store: uninstalled VV updates, but could not uninstall the app
-in settings, application manager: cleared VV data, force stopped, and disabled

Is this sufficient to ensure I will not be charged $2.49 again?

    Try removing the service from the My FreedomPop app or else you will still have to pay for voicemail.
